I'm really thrilled that my first book, 'Things I Wish I’d Known; Women Tell The Truth About Motherhood' , is out now, published by Icon Books.
It's a sort of antidote to all the 'How to' books about motherhood out there; the book I really wanted to read after I had my son, four years ago, when I wanted to hear from all the women whose writing I love about what their experience of motherhood was like. But all I could find was books telling me how to be a parent!
So...three years later I'm excited to say, here it is: a no-holds-barred collection of essays by 20 fantastic writers* who reveal the truth of what it’s really like to be a mother, based on their experience - rather than how things 'should' be, each with a completely different take, writing about everything from labour to the breastapo, twins to single parenthood, weaning to post-birth sex and loads of other stuff in between. If that tickles your fancy, you can order it here.
