Six years ago, after a diagnosis of a truly horrible condition called colitis, I started following the most restrictive diet in the universe* in a bid to get well again. After a short period of thinking that life was no longer worth living - I'm really, really into food - I gradually started finding ways to make the most of the food that I was allowed to eat, and to try to cook it in inventive and delicious ways. As a result, I got even more into food and cooking, and I've also spent a lot of time thinking about how to have a lovely life, even if there are loads of things that you can't eat (which, apart from anything else can be socially inconvenient!). As a result, I started a blog called How To Eat (When You Can't Eat Anything At All).
*you probably think I'm exaggerating, but if I am, it is only barely.
